How Ogham works
Twenty letters in four families, cut along the edge of the stone:
- B, L, F, S, N: one to five strokes to one side
- H, D, T, C, Q: one to five strokes to the other
- M, G, nG, Z, R: one to five strokes across
- A, O, U, E, I: one to five notches on the edge
Some letters, like J, K and Y, aren’t in Ogham, so the nearest letter is used and the page tells you which. It’s a modern, letter-by-letter spelling, for fun.
